The Stygian Society

The Stygian Society is a press committed to producing captivating, beautifully bound books.

Founded by Holly Rhiannon and Pae Veo in 2023, we focus on diverse, talent-driven fiction that stands out on its own merit. We offer support to authors often overlooked in the publishing world, providing a nurturing community and showcasing their work with care.

In 2024, we published "Dark Flock" by Montreal author Matt Poll, introducing a new subgenre of "Twilight Zone Birding," supported by crowdfunding. We also launched "The Stygian Zine," our bi-annual anthology series, continuing the spirit of our inaugural publication, "The Stygian Collection."

At The Stygian Society, our authors receive personalized touches, including a handwritten welcome letter and an exclusive Stygian pin. We offer fair royalty structures and transparency.
